Children's Nest Day School - Northdale

Hello, my name is Kathy Simmons and I am the Director of Children»s Nest Day School – Northdale. I have been a part of the Children’s Nest family since 1996 and have been a Director since the late 90’s. I was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and relocated to the Tampa Bay Area in 1996. As a Florida native, my favorite sports team is the Buccaneers but I am also a fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning and love watching soccer.

Having four children of my own and seeing the lack of quality child care programs available to our community inspired me to make a career change and begin a profession in Early Childhood Education.

I enjoy furthering my education in my chosen field and have taken several trainings and workshops specific to the needs of my community. In addition to trainings ranging from Program Administration to Special Needs to Social Development I am also working to obtain my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.

I am so proud to be a part of such a wonderful community and look forward to answering any and all questions you have involving your child’s education at my school.
